This Australia Day Weekend will be the pinnacle of the summer. We’ve handpicked a selection of top international DJs, all at the top of their game. Our ethos is to provide longer quality sets you can enjoy. If something is good let’s have more of it, right?

Our headliner needs no introduction; one of the biggest musical influences in the electronic music scene over the last 20 years. He has defined a generation of music lovers, from his legendary 250,000 person Big Beach Boutique event in the UK. Headlining festivals globally including Rio’s Flamingo Beach to 360,000 fans, whilst producing more than one of the most iconic dance music albums of the last two decades…ladies and gentlemen Mr Norman Cook AKA

FATBOY SLIM

ERICK MORILLO

For over a decade now, Erick has remained one of the most in demand and instantly recognizable DJs in the world. From the instant success of his weekly ‘Sessions’ parties in New York, to hosting events like the annual road – blocking Subliminal Sessions parties in Miami at Winter Music Conference, to his coveted residency at Ministry of Sound (he’s still one of the only American DJs to ever hold one) and of course his now legendary Subliminal Sessions parties at Pacha Ibiza, Morillo just doesn’t stop. His non-stop DJing schedule at one point saw him straddling the globe playing up to a whopping 30 gigs a month, particularly in the summer months where he’ll play from Rome and Mykonos to London.

“Everyone I know goes to Marco Carola or DC10 or Paradise for Jamie Jones and it’s amazing how that whole thing has grown. They’ve all gravitated to underground, quality music.”

So the long, hot summer of 2014 sees Erick reinvigorated, recharged and plugged firmly back in to the house music mainline. He recently played a celebrated set all night long at London’s Ministry of Sound and has shows incoming in New York, Miami and LA and plans to take on remix projects as well as working on his own productions. “For me, now that I’m hungry and focused, LA is the place to be, not just because the record industry is there but also the artists, so it’s a great place to be and a great place to network. I want to be in the mix!”

Watch out world – Erick Morillo is back.

JOHN DIGWEED

In this first release of artists we are also proud to announce John Digweed. One of the most respected DJs, he is accurately described as a DJ’s DJ. From his humble beginnings Digweed rose to the apex of the acid house scene which saw him oversee some of the most renowned parties, residencies and mixes of a generation. As they say; “Form is temporary, but class is permanent.”

DUBFIRE

From global commercial success to dominating the underground scene, Grammy award winning DUBFIRE is an artist whose drive, talent and intuition have placed him within the top tier of electronic music artists in the world. Whether it’s his involvement with Deep Dish, his solo performances at the world’s most influential clubs and festivals, running his label SCI+TEC, or simply his exploration of audio and visual technology, DUBFIRE is in a class of his own. As one half of the hugely successful Deep DishDUBFIRE dominated electronic music for well over a decade. The release in 1998 of their ground breaking album ‘Junk Science’ sent critics world-wide into ecstatic meltdown and saw Deep Dish thrust into the forefront of musical dominance world wide.

With his deep love for underground house and technoDUBFIRE quickly integrated himself into the minimalistic techno scene and produced several key releases that cemented him as a true visionary and a force to be reckoned with. From ‘Ribcage’, ‘Emissions’ and ‘Roadkill’, to his work with Oliver Huntemann and his remix of ‘Spastik’ by PlastikmanDUBFIRE’S creations perfectly display his musical dexterity and depth of aural knowledge.

JAMES ZABIELA

James Zabiela is a rare breed of artist owing to his unrivalled technical abilities in his live performance which have cemented him into the hearts of electronic music lovers the world over. Having served over 12 years with a ‘We Love…Space’ residency, James regularly visits Australia thrilling fans with his wizardry behind the decks.

NIC FANCIULLI

Not many DJs have the honour to play back-to-back with none other than Carl Cox for Space Ibiza’s closing fiesta! Nic Fanciulli is not just a DJ, but a producer and label owner who has remained one of the UK’s finest exports in electronic music throughout the last decade. A Grammy-nominated producer in his own right, Nic has worked with artists as diverse as Underworld, Kylie Minogue, U.N.K.L.E, Loco Dice, Josh Wink, Hot Natured, and Tracey Thorn.

Nic has since gone on to establish his own imprint, Saved Records, a label that remains proudly at the forefront of electronic music today. An important purveyor of international, underground house and techno, Saved has become a global brand, renowned for cutting-edge releases and standout events around the globe. In early 2014 Saved celebrated their 100th release and Nic remains one of the last DJs to break through to international acclaim on the strength of his DJ’ing alone, which is no easy achievement in this modern climate.

PACHANGA BOYS

Their names are Superpitcher and Rebolledo, together they are Pachanga Boys, and they are trying to make the world a better place with their Hippie Dance. The Pachanga started with underground hits such as “Power” and “Fiesta Forever” on Kompakt’s annual Total compilations, but steadily the good news spread far and wide, and the Pachanga Boys’ DJ sets became one of the hottest tickets on the European music scene and all over the world, including a legendary set for Robot Heart at Burning Man.

Soon the boys launched their label, Hippie Dance, home to instant classics like “Black Naga” and the enormous crossover 15 minute hypnotic smash, “Time” which came in as one of the Top 50 tracks on Resident Advisor in 2012. It’s here they also dropped the album “We Are Really Sorry” and a collection of weird and wonderful collaborations, short films and other exploits. They are Aussie favourites and we are always prepared to move heaven and earth for their arrival!

Robot Heart Burning Man legends the Pachanga Boys will be playing the all important warm up set as the sun drops over the stunning Red Hill venue on Friday January 22. This is scheduled for 7.24pm (OK we take this stuff quite seriously…) followed by James Zabiela and then Fatboy Slim to close.

NORMAN JAY MBE

Arguably one of the finest most respected DJs in the world today whose talents and many years of dedicated service have seen him awarded the highest authority in the land. In 2002 at the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee he was officially cited and became ‘Norman Jay MBE’ on merit for “deejaying and services to music.”

Norman regularly plays at a host of clubs, festivals and parties worldwide. Whether it’s playing upfront disco fuelled funky house in main rooms or his much vaunted old skool jazzfunk, hip hop or chilled out beats in the back, he still manages to inject his rich musical heritage and quality into every set he plays.

The Notting Hill Carnival / Good Times legend will be preforming not once, but twice at this year’s Electric Gardens festival. The first will be a set in the early afternoon from the main stage, the second an exclusive performance in the VIP area. As the DJ of choice for the rich and famous ‘celebrity set,’ Norman has played for the likes of Sir Mick Jagger, Robert De Niro, Michael Caine and George Michael, Will Smith. Prince, Bruce Springsteen, Jamiroquai and plenty more. We thought it only fitting to employ his services for “The Hangout” an intimate private area proudly hosted by The Return To Rio / Belle Journée crew.

HENRY SAIZ

Henry Saiz is the creator of a style that is a combination of his love for all things electronic with a deep passion for art. His remix of Guy J’s “Lamur,” released on Bedrock, was regarded by critics and DJ’s alike as “the track of the year”. Henry’s sound refuses to fall into a singular category, he takes in influence on many different levels and incorporates this into his live and DJ sets by forging a perfect balance of Electronica, Disco, House and Techno. He has taken his DJ and live shows around the globe, performing at venues in Europe, Asia, South America and Australia and been part of festivals such a Sónar and Creamfields among others and continues to be one of the most popular up-and-coming Spanish artists of his generation.

JEREMY OLANDER

The Stockholm born DJ burst onto the scene in 2011 and very much considered the trailblazer of Sweden’s newest generation of DJ’s. In 2011 Olander became the first artist to sign an agreement for multiple releases on Eric Prydz’s label Pryda Friends, a label founded by one of his main musical inspirations; Swedish DJ and producer Eric Prydz. To date, Olander has had 6 releases on Pryda Friends that have come to be some of the label’s biggest sellers.
